We will send you our professional Purohit / Pundit trained in Hindu Vedic Paatasala to conduct the Homam/pooja at Devotees given location (home, office, temple etc.) and time (Sri Gayathri Ashram Pundit Ji will fix the date & time according to the Devotees Nakshatra (Star) on an auspicious date).
Timing:
Poojas can be done very elaborately (more than one day) or within shortened time-period on the Husband’s Jenma Nakshatra. Traditionally this function is celebrated when the man enters his 61st birthday which is the day his jenma nakshatra arrives on his birth month. When the person attains 60 years Ayul Shanthi Homams are performed and a visit to the family deity is duly done.
Purpose & Benefits:
It is the transitional stage of a man’s life from ‘Grihasthashram’ to ‘Vanaprastham’. By the age of 60 a man is believed to have completed all his worldly duties and enjoyed his materialistic life to the fullest. After 60 years he starts his journey towards spiritualism. This is celebrated to mark the journey of the couple who has seen the rise of their younger generation members or ‘vamsa’. It also marks the successful married life the husband has shared with his wife and adds glory to the family they are associated with. The couple has set an example for the future generation to lead a family life. They are the most respected in the family.
